Biography:
Ms.
Stephanie A. Johnson (Lighting Designer)
has worked with Dimensions Dance Theater,
Cultural Odyssey, Theaterworks, The Oregon
Shakespeare Festival, The Telluride Repertory
Theater and The Arizona Repertory
Theater among many other theater, dance
and film companies in the Bay Area and New
York.

Her
design work has also been seen in India, The Netherlands,
Italy, Belgium, and France. She was awarded a Gerbode
Design Fellowship in partnership with Cultural
Odyssey of San Francisco in 1998. Photographs
of Ms. Johnson's designs were included in the show
Onstage: A Century of African American Stage
Design which was presented at The N.Y. Public
Library For The Performing Arts in 1995.
Ms. Johnson holds degrees (theater, interdisciplinary studies and art) from Emerson College (Boston), San Francisco State University, The University of California at Berkeley and is currently a candidate for a PhD in Public Policy at The Union Institute & University (Cincinnati). She is an Associate Professor in The Visual and Public Art Department at California State University, Monterey Bay.
